VC Commissions Abuja Liaison Office

The Vice-Chancellor, Benue State University, Makurdi, Prof. Msugh Moses Kembe on Thursday, May 24, 2018 commissioned the University Liaison Office Complex situated in Asokoro District, Abuja.

Prof. Kembe stated that the long dream for a University Liaison office in Abuja had become a reality, stressing that the facility would provide essential services such as accommodation, consultancy and also serve as a link between the University and educational agencies in Nigeria and abroad.

He commended the Liaison Officer for working tirelessly for the take-off of the office and urged him to work hard to achieve its mandate.

The Liaison Officer, Mr. Mike Shima-Na Nongo, in his welcome address, explained that the presence of the University Liaison office in the Federal Capital Territory, would greatly enhance interface and cooperation with stakeholders and thereby contribute to the academic development of the University.

Mr. Nongo revealed that the office would further project the image of the institution to relevant government Ministries and collaborating agencies: Federal Ministry of Education, National Universities Commission, (NUC) Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), National Youth Service Corps,(NYSC) Law School, Tetfund, Association of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities,(AVCNU) National Examinations Council/West African Examinations Council,(NECO/WAEC), Professional Associations/Affiliated Bodies and other Sectoral partners to fast-tract the projection of the University’s corporate image which will crystalize into way for collaboration towards academic excellence and infrastructural development.
