Deputy Governor Commends Bsu Management
The Vice-Chancellor, Benue State University, Makurdi, Professor Msugh Moses Kembe, with the Management, have been commended by the Government of Benue State for the diligent application of human and material resources as well as their dynamic handling of issues in the University.
The Deputy Governor of the state, His Excellency, Engr. Benson Abounu, gave this commendation on Tuesday, 27th March, 2018 in the Vice-Chancellor’s office while on an unscheduled private visit to the University.
Engr. Abounu stated that, he has keenly being observing the satisfactory manner Professor Kembe has continued to handle the affairs of the University since his assumption of office as the Vice-Chancellor two years ago.
The Deputy Governor particularly praised the intelligent way the Management of the University handled the recent student disruption of Second Semester Examinations thereby averting the degeneration of the situation into a full blown crisis.
He also congratulated the University for getting five years programme accreditation for 14 courses in 11 Departments in the face of lean resources, adding that this was not a mean achievement and urged the Vice-Chancellor with his Management team not to relent.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Msugh Kember who said he was overwhelmed by the Deputy Governor’s show of his concern, assured the government and people of the state that he and his Management will continue to do their best, not just to maintain all University standards, but to add value and ensure that the Benue State University, Makurdi is among the best in the world.
He thanked the Deputy for the visit, adding that the visit was no doubt a tonic that will further invigorate them to do more.
